Description
KALANCHOE thyrsiflora. 12-24″ tall, 12-18″ spread, full sun-part shade. Prized for its thick, rounded, paddle-shaped leaves that form a tight rosette and often display red or burgundy edges when exposed to full sun. Performs well in well-drained soil with infrequent watering. Blooming in late winter to early spring, mature plants produce tall flower stalks—sometimes up to 3 feet—bearing small, tubular yellow flowers. Zones 9b to 11, it is not frost-tolerant and should be brought indoors in cooler climates.
