Description

MONSTERA deliciosa Liebm. 6-10′ tall, 4-8′ spread, bright; indirect light. Commonly known as a Split-Leaf Philodendron. Large, glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves that develop dramatic splits and holes as they mature. Height and spread depend on growing conditions and support structures. It can tolerate some shade; however, too little light may reduce the characteristic leaf fenestrations. Blooming is rare indoors but possible in ideal tropical conditions, typically in late spring or summer, producing white, spadix-type flowers that resemble those of a peace lily, eventually followed by a fruit with a sweet, pineapple-like aroma. Zones 10-12. Prefers warm, humid conditions and well-draining soil, making it a popular and resilient choice for indoor spaces in cooler climates. Potted in 3″ pot.
