Description
STACHYS m. ‘Hummelo’. 18-20″ tall, 18″ spread, full sun-part shade, early-midsummer bloom. Sturdy spikes of lavender-rose flowers shoot up through large, rounded clumps of green, long and narrow, textured leaves putting on quite a display. It is very easy to grow and should be in every garden. Attracts butterflies and is bee friendly! Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 4-8. Potted in 3″ pot. Stachys grows best in full sun but will also tolerate partial shade. Good drainage is essential for this plant. Divide every 3-4 years in spring or more frequently if plants become woody in the center.
